Trying out the 64bit version, I did not run into to many problems except with the cd and dvd player but a little searching put me on the right road and added the necessary software.

Absa Bank South Africa arms ATM with pepper spray

Apparently to deter the would be crooks Absa Bank one of the African's largest financial institution has installed cameras and pepper spray canisters on 11 of it's machines in the Cape. You might be saying to yourself what if this thing malfunctions? And it did exactly that;

Recently, the plan was theoretically executed to perfection in the town of Fish Hoek, but the recipients of the pepper spray burst were innocent maintenance workers instead of attempted thieves. The repairmen had to seek immediate medical attention.

I mean think about it,,anything could happen to cause these things to malfunction and seriously injure someone whether it be a maintenance worker or just a customer making a with drawel and would not count on a visit to the emergency room.

This blog design is simply awesome not only is it a three column but it just says environment all over it, I set this one up with that in mind it has a lot of link area where you can link some of your favourite blogs and link to areas of your interest. In taking the nature of this template in mind I linked to some of my favorite environmental and green blogs, I like the designs where you can put a lot of links in and this one passes with flying colors and with a small amount of tweaking you can set up the subscribe by e-mail rather quickly. Google voice connects all

I will link you to PSFK for this one, they have a video set up for this also seems pretty straight forward on the set-up. I have heard about this but have not gotten around to actually trying it out apparently this will ring all of your existing phones when you get an incoming call, seems like a great idea I might have to give this a shot and see how it works;

This is a nice change for a template, I got this over at Deluxe Templates and thought I would give it a try.

Very easy to set up and a really nice looking template that is a little different from the rest, recently there have been a lot of really nice templates coming out and this one is no different and earns a spot in the favourites of mine.

Lori Schneider scales Everest despite MS

Three years ago Lori bested the highest peak in North America Mt. McKinley. The financial burden was high though to climb Everest she used up all her savings sold her home and took out a loan, Lori said the hardship of climbing Everest was maintaining a positive attitude for 2 months.

In achieving her goal, she has joined some of the world's most accomplished climbers and bested many others.

"It was very surreal, you couldn't see anything [because of the blizzard], so I couldn't see the beauty that surrounded me."

"We had to rush down so fast, but I did get a chance to give my father a call and yell: 'I made it, I made it'."

"It wasn't until the next morning when I woke up in my tent after climbing for 17 hours the day before, and then all of the sudden I thought: 'Oh my gosh, I just climbed Mt Everest yesterday!'."

I really enjoyed reading Lori's story because despite a bad diagnosis she has accomplised her dream of ascending Everest good job Lori.

Wooden Fence Blogger Template something new

This template is a lot different than a lot that I have tried recently and because of this and the nature of it this one quickly earns a place as one of my favorites, this one is surprisingly easy to set up I thought a lot and checked out a lot of HTML colors to get the correct color that matches closely to the color layout of this template, but I think I got pretty darn close to give a look at just how nice this one looks, read about and Download this template.

Great looking template called LightWord from Deluxe Templates, this one is simple and light very nice and minimalistic well worth checking this out, the top bar or navigation bar I changed a little, when I added more links they dropped down under the ones there so I made the bar a little longer and in the code located somewhere above this this tag; ]]></b:skin> where you find this code;

I simply made the width in mine to read 400 px so mine looks like this;

What a glorious article from think progress where Palin tries to put into perspective her whining versus Hillary Clinton;

What I said was, it doesn’t do her or anybody else any good to whine about the criticism. And that’s why I’m trying to make it clear that the criticism, I invite that. But freedom of speech and that invitation to constructively criticize a public servant is a lot different than the allowance to lie, to continually falsely accuse a public servant when they have proven over and over again that they have not done what the accuser is saying they did. It doesn’t cost them a dime to continue to accuse. That’s a whole different situation. But that’s why when I talk about the political potshots that I take or my family takes, we can handle that. I can handle that. I expect it. But there has to be opportunity provided for truth to get out there, and truth isn’t getting out there when the political game that’s being played right now is going to continue, and it is.

Managed to stop mission aborted in IE-8

So far mission aborted has stopped crashing, moved my Google tracking and scroll to the top of the body tag instead of the bottom of it, I did have it right above the </body> tag at the bottom but moved it under the <body> tag toward the top and seemed to get rid of mission aborted crash that was happening in IE on me. So far seems to be working as of now but hey with IE that is subject to change at any moment. I would not bother with it but a lot of people are using the IE browser since Microsoft places it on every one's computer and there are a lot that don't go to the trouble of downloading a browser like FireFox that don't have problems like this or at least in my dealings with them they haven't.

This article will tell you the story of Rodi Alvarado from Guatemala and the plight and suffrage from her husband and the endless bureaucracy of the handling of the situation by the government of passing the buck from one to another, the U.S has no provisions that cover victims of domestic violence. It is a story that we all need to read and take a look at the endless red tape this woman was put through and the big excuse really is allowing this would open some loop-hole of an influx of cases claiming asylum in the U.S because of domestic violence, and this possibly could be some truth but some kind of play book should be drawn up or someone should react to this kind of treatment I read about in this public record article and I know that this would be one of the worst cases but at what point does an agency act on this and not pass the buck to someone else?

Testing Firefox 3.5 with a great theme

Just downloaded the 3.5 version and it seems to perform better than it's predecessors before it having said this, go and download for yourself and surf with the new Fox very quick and responsive and the reason I prefer Firefox so much is because of it's add-ons. Flock browser has a lot of good features to it but Firefox has the most add-ons I surf with Flock sometimes because it is so integrated with the social networks but no browser can compete the many Firefox add-ons and that works best for me.

Grabbed this video over at cnet, with Firefox the add-ons alone are worth it and with Firefox I don't have the constant aggravation of trying to get Internet Explorer to cooperate and that makes the choice a very clear one for me.

This is a real neat looking template
with subtle colors and an all around good look, easy to set up and customize and if you are looking for something neat and low color this one just would fit your blog. This blog looks different because the sidebars go up higher, comes with an image above your blog posts.

I am using a different header photo than the original that comes with this, there are many things you can do with this template, the subscribe button I edited using Gimp, I added a twit this link also. There are so many nice templates out there anymore it is hard to choose which one will suit your tastes, this one belongs up toward the top of the list. I added the orginal photo that comes with this template so you can see how it looks, this is one of my all time favorites here.

Cable departing Hulu to create T.V Everywhere

Basically they are seeing maybe a way to make a buck off this, but when you dive into this avenue you have to think or at least contemplate that why would some people need their cable boxes? I don't see any reason they would and just what the article states itself don't get to comfortable thinking well I subscribe to Comcast I can also watch programming on the internet also, wrong, according to the CNN article T.V Everywhere could pose a threat to the popular Hulu model, well this very well could be right you never know one thing is for sure, you won't find me there. Look out folks price increase on the way.

Strip search of 13-year-old girl was illegal, Supreme Court says // Current

This girl is now in college but I hope she sues the school for all it's worth and judge Thomas in his dissent well that is another story in other words he comes to the conclusion that probably the prescription drugs (ibuprofen) were secretly hid by the girl somewhere else. All of this occurred over what amounts to a couple of Advil, the girl was stripped searched by the school apparently because of an anonymous tip. In an 8-1 ruling, the justices said school officials violated the law with their search of Savana Redding in the rural eastern Arizona town of Safford.

The lower courts will have to decide whether the school can be held liable or not but hopefully they can read the whole of this story at the link;

Found culprit that will also break IE-8

I found a piece of code in my page make-up that was breaking IE-8, it is a piece of code I used to frame my blog scream widget, every time I went to leave a comment or went to the comment page IE-8 would break I knew the follower widget was doing it but got me to thinking after removing that what else could it be?

After removing the piece of code that frames my blog scream widget so far I have not gotten an error, knock on wood I mean everything is subject to change right? But as of now it is working o.k and goes to the comment page without the mission aborted and crash of IE-8. Here is the code I remove;

This article helped me to reset Firefox back to the default settings without a re-install, if you are like me and ever messed with the about:config editor on Firefox then you know where I am coming from. This article worked for me but when reading the comments I see that some had problems with it working for them, if you open a run window and type in firefox -safe-mode, then a window will open where you can choose the default settings I chose the default settings and clicked make changes and restart and it worked perfect for me, here is an excerpt to the article and the link;
