Yes you read that title right a retired principal was caught in a child sex sting by police, he allegedly showed up at a Morristown Tn. motel for what he believed to be a sexual encounter with an 8 year old girl, Joseph Wayne Jennings was arraigned Thursday by U.S. Magistrate Dennis Inman on a four-count criminal complaint.

According to the complaint drafted by assistant U.S. Attorney Helen Smith, Jennings retired in 2007 from the Claiborne County schools district where he worked as a principal at the Clairfield Elementary School.

Apparently where this all started from was a chat session Jennings was having with an Ohio woman in May and she became alarmed when Jennings began telling her about alleged sexual encounters with young girls, the woman wrote a complaint to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The agency then determined the screen name belonged to Jennings and detective Tom Evans of the Knoxville Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, took on the persona of a divorced mother with an 8-year-old daughter and apparently when Evans started chatting with Jennings on-line he immediately made inquiry about having sex with the 8-year-old phantom girl.

The complaint alleged also that Jennings brought a video camera and digital camera with him when he appeared at the motel, jennings was arrested Wednesday at the Holiday Inn in Morristown and ordered held without bond pending a Tuesday hearing.

What is even more disturbing about this article was that this individual was a Principal at an elementary school, it is scaring knowing how many children he had the opportunity to come into contact with. If this man is found guilty the full extent of the law needs dealt to him and I believe that our laws need to be more tougher on these types of crimes, the more tougher the better and this is why as liberal as I am I kind of hold to the death penalty in certain circumstances and at any rate if found guilty this guy should be in prison till the end of his days.
