This is another one for my scrapbook on this blog, corrupt dirty politicians who got caught up in their own game and I have picked through the Internet a little on this one  and found pros and cons on this one. The fact of the matter is that Ted is joining a long line of Republicans who have gotten caught.

Stevens is charged with seven felony counts of concealing more than $250,000 in house renovations and gifts and is accused of lying on his annual Senate financial disclosure reports between 1999 and 2006. The work on the Senator's house included a new first floor a wrap around deck and other goodies is also accused from accepting from VECO a gas grill, furniture and tools.

VECO was once a large force in Alaska's oil services industry, it's founder Bill Allen and Rick Smith have pleaded guilty to bribing state lawmakers to push legislation to help the company.
