Hoctro has a great looking template hacked to blogger beta, it is a template by Andreas Viklund called Adreas02 see it in action at my other blog Kentucky Hoop Dreams. Also at the bottom of this blog is a great hack from Hoctro, if you have a lot of labels it gets cluttered at the top though, but it is a nice template, it also has a feature to open up other tabs at the top to show where you can be found elsewhere on the web, I have not listed these yet on my other blog.
Talks are said to take place in Baghdad with the US and Iran, this will be their first talks in about 27 years. Iran is currently under US and UN sanctions due to it's nuclear program, Iran, who was previously listed as one of the axis of evil, will probably stress a quick withdrawal from the region and it is highly unlikely under the circumstances that anything will come of this. Our military is seeing more deaths as May turns out to be one of the highest months and according to this data it could even top last month's 104, the trend seems climbing after the 'surge option' is being now put into place. On this Memorial Day we remember the troops and their families and we hope and pray the troops come home soon and safe and that 'all' of America remember them and I know that all of us support our troops in every way that we are able and to the troops who are entangled in a civil war that has be raging for over a year now we pray you stay safe on this day and every day and we pray you are home soon. I did not know where to post this on my other blog or on reason? Well I have been silent a long time on religion so let's go. First of all not all Christians believe man was created only 6,000 or so years ago, namely Adam and his help-mate or wife Eve. I know in the Bible you have read many times, a thousand years is as one day to God, (figure of speech) one day is as a thousand years. In other words it could be a very long or short time with God, time is not relevant to God. Just about everything in this article needs revision, it was not 6 days as we know days and Adam was an 8Th day creation, all you Bible readers need a Strong's Concordance to give the meaning of the words from their original Hebrew & Greek, there are many other tools out there that can help you see the text in it's 'true' meaning. The 6Th day creation Genesis 1-24/27, and pay close attention to (27), these are not literal days, this is billions of years, these creations of men and women who became fisherman, hunters and the like. Read now Genesis 2-5, there was no-one to till the ground? Now read on till 21 look at the word rib,,in the Hebrew this is the word curve, (Helix Curve)(DNA), now look at 23. The name Eve does not appear till Genesis 3-20,,why create Adam & Eve way later than the original creations?Well that is simple through Eve would eventually be born "Jesus" Eve therefore is the mother of all living, because in Christ we all live. The children this article alludes to would not be confused if the bible were explained in it's form it was meant to be. Well that is the Bible lesson for today kids, I agree the Earth is billions of years old, but, the bloodline to which Christ would eventually be born is not, I study the word and go back to the 'original' manuscripts from whence it was translated so do I believe God created the Universe and everything within it? ABSOLUTELY. Dinosaurs were on Noah's Ark: US museum. 27/05/2007. ABC News Online

A mob broke into cheers and dancing as a British soldier was killed in an ambush on the streets of Basra, a civilian convoy driver was also killed. It has grown more increasingly that the central government will not survive the long-term. In Lebanon violence erupts and thousands flee the immediate region as the middle-east becomes more of a hotbed for violence, the group linked in this fighting according to CNN is also linked with Al-Qaeda. About 25 more bodies were found scattered in the streets of Baghdad and brings the monthly total to approx. 495, a car bomb exploded this morning and took out about 25 more people close to a Baghdad market. A blast that ripped through Ankara Turkey is also blamed to terrorism, the blast killed at least 5 people and wounded dozens.
Mobs still cheer just as they did years ago when some were televised during the beginning years of the Iraq war, we simply do not here of it in like matter as we used to the reporting has grown weary and probably it is so dangerous that reporters fear for their lives. Whatever the reason may be the Iraqis view us as occupiers and not liberators, this became clear in the war early on when polls showed that the majority of Iraqis actually agree with the attack on the American troops and it became clear to the majority of the American people that the view of us was not as polished as one were to believe, as we get bits and pieces of news we see that the Middle-East itself has become a hot-bed for violence in the near neighbors of Iraq.

First of all I have a serious problem with Bolten's statement of the Democrats 'dug in' so to speak on this time line on Iraq, personally they have bent over backwards and far beyond what should have been done to try and comprise on Iraq. It is obvious who does not want any kind of comprise on this issue and it is mostly the Republicans, not all but mostly.
What really caught my attention in this Times article is the little paragraph at the bottom and the statement is thus, The Democratic leaders also took on the administration over its threat to veto a Pentagon policy measure this week, particularly White House objections to the costs of a 0.5 percent military pay increase above the 3 percent approved by the White House and an additional $40 monthly in survivors’ benefits. This speaks volumes of how things really are taking place, you know we have to save that 40 bucks, it seems as I said before the Dems are bending over backwards but we still have some holding up progress and hopefully the next election day will rectify this. Gas in this state has now topped the three dollar point and juice and pork chops at Wal-mart have increased another 25 cents since last week, which goes back to my point for the last year and that being someone has to pay for this mess.
At least the Dems are trying to make a stand and hold some kind of benchmarks to get out of this mess that is killing our children and putting us in the poor house, I say to Reid and the rest just keep sending the bill back, Nancy has said something will be available by Memorial Day, and I say to Nancy; Only if you go along with holding none accountable and none responsible for this mess is all that will be accepted, since Bolten has said the Dems are dug in, he should have stated the real facts and that being 'we know we are the minority, but we want no bipartisanship with you we want you, to see it our way or no way.
Mitt Romney used the 60 minutes show on Sunday to voice his opinion on what happened in the November elections of last year, he sighted Iraq and the many mistakes that were made in going to war there. On how the 'surge' is going there he said we should know that in a couple of months, last week Romney was criticized by the Rev. Al Sharpton which more or less alluded to the fact that Mormon's were not truly religious and questioned their belief in God. Romney went on to say that "it's the whole administration,,,and we are paying for those mistakes." Will this candor come back to haunt Romney? Only time will tell.

Allstate has set a deadline of July 1st. Of this year to stop selling residential policies in California, in the last year, Allstate and other insurers have stopped writing homeowners policies in all or parts of a dozen coastal states that are regularly hit by hurricanes, and now that comes in play for California. What is going on here? Well, it's simple, the insurance companies want the premiums the public provides but they want them without any strings, speaking of premiums they are also asking for a 12% rate increase from California. Advocates for policyholders want the insurance commissioner to take a tough stance and prohibit the company from returning to the market for 10 years. Sounds like good advice, for instance, they don't want Allstate to be jumping the ship and later when things might get better, jumping back in. I would think if they don't take a stance like this the insurance companies would just be going back and forth. Allstate to stop selling residential policies in California - Los Angeles Times
Even though Republicans are hindering the progress of the Congress and Senate on passing and sticking to a workable Iraq agenda, they still want to save their jobs and return after the next election, this is the bottom line on this article. The White House on Wednesday promised a veto of the emerging House bill, which would essentially provide financing for combat operations through midsummer, but require the president to provide a series of reports on the state of the Iraqi military and the progress of the government in achieving political unity. Congress would then vote a second time in late July on releasing the rest of the money sought by the administration, or restricting its use to redeployment and more limited operations in Iraq.
Read this carefully, this is a bill that would require the money asked for but would also require a series of reports on the state of the Iraqi military and the progress of that government in achieving political unity. We are left with the basic fact is that no compromise whatsoever on the Republican lawmakers or the administration to even put reports out on how the progress , if any, is coming along. I think the Democrats should stick to their agenda and just continue sending this back until ratified or the troops eventually come home, because it looks obvious that bipartisanship is out the window from the far right camp. And by reading the linked article it is plain to see they are more worried about their job than seeking benchmarks on Iraq, and to the Democrats I say, the majority of Americans sent you to Washington to do a job,,so,,do your job.

This is just another report of a company feeding the employees a bunch of B.S, Wal-Mart wants to keep all those big millions it is making and keep their workers in the dark. When I read this I thought to myself same old song and dance, but as I continued, I see Wal-Mart might want to break a few labor laws to keep it's pocket nice and full. They don't want to go to the table with a Union because then they might have to pay a higher wage and seniority just might mean something then and the health benefits just might be better than they are right now. There is a lot of employees at Wal-Mart who might be wondering hey, I am nearing 65 wonder if I will get retirement from Wal-Mart? Well, not if you don't have the Union, but that might cut into Wal-mart's big trips to the bank.
